Release notes:
Easier Configuration:
RAMS Plus installation can now be configured with an editable text file, without the use of system/user environment variables. Therefore the installation requires simply copying the RAMS Plus folder structure to the location of choice, and should generally not require system administration rights. Additionally, RAMS Plus can be installed on an external drive to be shared between machines, however each machine that uses RAMS Plus requires a license key. Multiple license keys for multiple machines can be placed in the same location (the RAMS Plus ./bin folder), and RAMS Plus will determine the relevant license key for the current machine.
Terminal Area Approaches:
For terminal area approaches, this release introduces the Airport AMAN flows. These AMAN flows are a prioritized collection of the runway approach “graphic maneuvers” components such as trombones, path-stretching, and direct-to-final maneuvers. The AMAN flow contains several separation and resolution strategies. The arrival delay metrics can be aggregated by each graphic maneuver components to assist in highlighting the origins of approach delay.
Runway Efficiency Metrics:
There are new simulation outputs to indicated the gap or excess separation between runway arrival pairs, to create metrics on runway inefficiencies Runway separation between pair-wise flights can become quite complex based on the flight’s characteristics, wake, size, equipage, etc., where this dynamic relationship is difficult to determine post-simulation. Therefore, the dynamic pair-wise runway separation is recorded in simulation outputs to assist in runway efficiency metrics.
Aircraft Performance Variance Data:
The aircraft performance variance data has been enhanced for much easier definition, viewing, and understanding the data source. The aircraft performance variance is not contained in a single view, and viewed within a single editor interface.
Time-Based Metering In-trail Distance Separation:
The time-based metering streams now have an optional in-trail distance separation at the meter merge point, to complement the time separation at the meter merge point.
