Hosted by HungaroControl in Budapest, we were delighted to be invited to the networking cocktail and site visit on the evening of the 05th of December for the official opening and being treated to an impressive demonstration of their current and future remote tower solutions.

In the SID days which followed, we were spoiled both by the stunning architecture of the Hungarian Academy of Science and the amazing choice of projects being presented including 41 exploratory research projects, along with 37 posters, 51 papers and keynote presentations from industry and academic luminaries.
Among all those brilliant presentations, we would like to highlight the following excellent presentations from our SESAR research project partners and our colleague and good friend from FAA/Nextgen:
- “Transparency & Explainability in higher levels of automation in the ATM domain” (María Florencia Lema Esposto, R&D ATM Engineer, CRIDA)
- “Explainable Metamodels for ATM Performance Assessment” (Tatjana Bolic, Senior Research Fellow/ATM, University of Westminster)
- “Innovation – Notes from the US” (Steve Bradford – Chief Scientist, FAA)
And last, but certainly not least we are pleased to share a very special presentation created by Ángel Martínez Mateo from our partner at CRIDA for the DACUS research project:
