We are happy to participle in the inaugural EU Drone-days event organized by DG-MOVE and the S3JU where we will present the results and findings of the DACUS research along with our project partners.
DACUS is a U-space Exploratory Research Project which proposes a new U-space solution addressing Demand & Capacity Balancing (DCB) using:
- A Collision risk prototype which quantified the air and ground risks to the population as a limiting factor to determine the maximum number of drones that can safely operate above different urban areas
- Social Impact prototypes that assess the visual and noise effects over the population to help manage societal impact of very low level Drone operations
- A Route Planning prototype which considered the uncertainty of the demand and weather as part of the mission planning process
- A Fast-Time Simulation tool that supported the modelling of realistic drone operations in the urban environment and the activation of dynamic DCB measures in response to predicted overload in selected hotspot cells
See you there !
