ISA Software (Paris) is looking for a junior developer to join their existing expert team. The successful applicant will develop aviation safety simulation and analysis software using a range of software and hardware solutions for multiple high profiles, international clients. The successful applicant will be integrated into the existing development team and will also be expected to contribute to and develop new ideas and opportunities.
Job Specifications
Candidates with 1 to 3 years’ experience should have the following qualifications:
- BSc/MSc in Information Technology or a similar field
- Experience in design, development, and implementation of web-based client/server applications using object oriented programming and relational databases.
- Experience with Java and J2EE Technologies including JDBC, Hibernate and Spring.
- Experience with software development environment/configuration management tools including IntelliJ, Ant, Maven, and code versioning (SVN and Mercurial).
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as C++ and / or Python and an interest in innovative software methods (e.g. Machine Learning) would be considered an advantage.
- Experience working with applications deployed in cloud based environments (e.g. AWS or Azure).
- Application design using UML and software methodologies including rapid prototyping and iterative/agile development methods.
- Understanding of Hadoop, Apache Nifi etc. would be considered an advantage.
- Demonstrable experience working in an agile team environment
- Fluency in spoken and written technical English.
